camp

Camp Kiesel. Let's just say I slept really well (last) Wednesday night. Chasing 12 eight and nine year olds around all day in the (Finally!) summer will do that to a person.

POST-EVENT EVALUATION:

Overall, I consider the venture a success. Two cubs were scraped up (knees and elbows) and bleeding within the first ten minutes, we only thought we lost the same cub twice, one cub lost a hat his grandparents brought back from Israel, one cub freaked when he got "out" in dodge ball, oh, and we left 30 minutes late.

BUT-the cubs participated in all the stations (with the exception of one cub who opted out of the canoeing due to a severe fear of water) and I even heard one remark, "This is the best day of my life!" That made it all worth it.

That is so fun and scary at the same time! Way fun. How do you get your picuters to be that big? Did you change something in the html codes?

hello twin Wendy - of course i am doing cub scouts as well. very rewarding - yet exhausting too. we have camp in 2 weeks. i am very jealous of your 1 day camp. out here they seem to think it needs to be 1 week long and you put it on instead of going somewhere. (help!)

Kaitlyn- I opened an account with photobucket (it's free) to get the big pictures. The Web site lets you pick how big you want the pictures to be and then gives you the html code to paste into your blog post. You have to change the html of your blog layout to make room for the big pictures. Check out this link for some more information: http://dearcjane.blogspot.com/2009/06/get-big-images-on-your-blog.html

Jenna- I don't envy you in the slightest :) Our scouts can't camp overnight until they are 11 and only for one night at that point. Have fun ;)
